The fall arrester has an integrated shock-absorbing mechanism, which reduces force on the user and system in the event of a fall, and an integrated swivel which is an auto-locking carabiner connection that aids in trailing alignment and meets allowable attachment length. For an easier, more comfortable climb, the fall arrester has a smooth and quiet trailing action along the rail. The design of the fall arrester prevents up-side-down installation and increases user safety and productivity is increased by the ergonomic design of the fall arrester. The fall arrester has a fall indicator, which alerts the user to know when to remove the product from service.
