Transfer Lanyard Connector
This transfer lanyard connector has been developed for use in offshore wind - the connector is used for transferring to and from a turbine and vessel. Especially designed to make the connection to egress/access systems easier and is also usable for fast ladder positioning.
The round sewn nylon sling lanyard (260 mm) has two captivated karabiners - one at each end, which has a MBL of 22kN. The triple lock connector is most often used at the harness end and the double action is usable for attaching to the fall protection system or to sling around ladder rung back to harness.
The lanyard is suitable for work positioning, work restraint and for fall arrest in case an additional energy absorber such as an EN 355 energy absorber (6kN max) is used.
Connectors:
1 x CH11 Karabiner: The double action gate is self locking/closing and is perfect for one handed operation. The captive eye keeps the loading close to the spine (thereby reducing loss in strength).
- Major axis: gate open 12 kN
- Major axis 33 kN
- Gate opening: 26 mm
- Overall size: W 72 mm, L 130 mm
1 x CKA61 Karabiner: with triple lock, aluminium and captive eye.
- The Captive eye for semi-permanent or permanent (e.g. lanyards) assemblies - the captive eye makes sure that the loading is close to the spine (therefore reducing loss in strength).
- The triple action gate is self locking/closing and makes one handed operation possible - opening the gate requires 3 separate actions, virtually eliminating the risk of accidental opening.
- Major axis: 28 kN
- Gate Opening: 22 mm
- Overall Size: W 84 mm, Ø 16 mm, L 130 mm
